Resumo em Língua Estrangeira: This work presents the development of an automation system for integrated temperature and time control in a muffle furnace used for e-coat paint analysis in a metalworking company. The currently manual process has limitations such as the risk of human error, lack of standardization, the need for continuous supervision, and the possibility of variations in laboratory results. To address these demands, the implementation of an automated system based on PLC and HMI was proposed, allowing for precise monitoring of process variables, data storage, creation of heating recipes, and safe equipment operation. The methodology involved bibliographic research, analysis of the existing process, definition of components, development of the technical project, and cost estimation. The expected results include increased reliability, energy efficiency, repeatability of analyses, reduced human intervention, and greater operational safety. The project demonstrates technical and economic viability, as well as alignment with Industry 4.0 guidelines.

<summary type="text">Título: Projeto de melhoria em uma máquina de corte e solda de plástico
Resumo em Língua Estrangeira: This paper presents the development of a prototype model featuring a cleaning roller and waste collection tray for the G4 1100 plastic cutting and welding machine, based on a concept from the company Plaswill. The primary objective is to eliminate the need for daily manual cleaning of the lower pull roller, which accumulates plastic film residue, is difficult to access, consumes significant time, and exposes operators to ergonomic and safety risks. The methodology adopted involved measuring available space, creating 2D drawings, analyzing materials, estimating costs, procuring components (Nema 17 stepper motor, TB6600 driver, and pneumatic actuator), and performing assembly and testing. The proposed system allows the cleaning roller to contact the pull roller during rotation—using a damp Velcro strip treated with degreaser—collecting residue in the tray and automatically returning to the initial position. Aligned with NR-12 safety standards, the prototype demonstrates a viable solution aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing manual interventions, and enhancing safety during the operation of the actual machine.

<summary type="text">Título: Retrofit de máquina de manufatura alimentícia
Resumo em Língua Estrangeira: This undergraduate thesis proposes the development of a solution aimed at the modernization and automation of a food manufacturing machine, specifically focusing on the dough extrusion and cutting stages. The proposal is based on the application of industrial Retrofit concepts, process automation, and compliance with Regulatory Standard NR-12, with the objective of transforming a manual and analog system into an automated, safe, and efficient piece of equipment. The project was based on established knowledge of machine control, industrial safety, and the integration of automated systems, providing practical experience in PLC programming, HMI configuration, electrical control panel assembly, and the implementation of safety devices. Based on the studies and knowledge acquired, the proposed solution is expected to improve the machine's precision, process standardization, and operational safety, while reducing setup time and increasing the reliability of the production process. This work reinforces the importance of industrial Retrofit as a strategy for innovation and sustainability within the manufacturing sector, demonstrating that automation applied to the food industry can enhance productivity and meet the requirements of Industry 4.0, ensuring competitiveness and safety in industrial operations.
