Resumo em Língua Estrangeira: The main objective of this article is to delve deeper into the topic of Locavorism and the reasons why it has driven Brazilian consumers, in particular, from Rio Grande do Sul, regarding their preference for consuming local foods. This is a case study that was developed in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Northwest region. This article had 30 people invited to participate spontaneously and 27 people were selected from these, 3 were disregarded because they were people far from the region analyzed. Through an online questionnaire, non-probabilistic, convenience and snowball sampling was adopted for this purpose. The results reveal that they buy and consume local foods because they believe they are healthy, not only because they strengthen the local economy and preserve the environment, among others.

Resumo em Língua Estrangeira: Beef livestock is an important sector in Brazilian agribusiness. Within this sector, premium meat boutiques are becoming increasingly common in large urban centers, offering personalized products and added services related to meat preparation. Demand for premium meats is increasing due to changes in consumer preferences, awareness about food quality and increased purchasing power. However, price is still a factor that affects consumers' purchasing decisions. The aim of the work is to identify consumer preferences for premium meat cuts, evaluate the target audience and consumption of products associated with pre-mium meats. The research will use a descriptive approach, seeking to understand and interpret reality through observation, description and interpretation of phenomena. Information was used from a boutique located in the city of Santo Augusto obtained during the years 2022 and 2023. The results presented through tables and graphs, addressing the variation in consumption and cuts, seasons of consumption, marketing strategies and social networks, in addition to a case study on meat consumption in Santo Augusto. This study is relevant to understanding the premium meat market, its trends and dynamics, contributing to the development of effective strategies for companies in the sector and to the formulation of public policies aligned with consumer demands.

Resumo em Língua Estrangeira: Solar energy has become increasingly popular and discussed in everyday life, especially among families living in rural areas. These families are looking for new alternatives to balance their budgets, both personal and business. To this end, financial institutions offer specific lines of credit for the purchase of solar energy generation equipment. This study evaluates the lines of financing with public subsidy for the implementation, improvement and maintenance of renewable energy generation systems for own use. It also features economic feasibility calculations, such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback. The Rural Credit Manual (MCR) contains the rules approved by the National Monetary Council (CMN) and the Central Bank of Brazil for rural credit, which must be followed by beneficiaries and financial institutions operating in the National Rural Credit System (SNCR). The MCR is updated as regulations are released. The study addresses the growth and incentives for renewables, with a focus on solar PV. The project studied has a monthly energy cost of R$1,030.00. The term considered in the study is 25 years, which is the maximum warranty and useful life offered by the equipment suppliers. The MCR is updated as regulations are released. The economic analysis, considering the Net Present Value, the Internal Rate of Return and the discounted Payback, indicate that the investment in the project is feasible and will bring financial return in 6 years and 8 months to the rural producer. The positive NPV shows that the discounted cash flow will be higher than the initial investment, which ensures the desired savings over the life of the equipment. Rural consumers need new options to reduce the impact of rising energy tariffs on the countryside. The implementation of solar power generation systems can help reduce these expenses, as they have a low environmental impact, high generation potential in Brazil, and are easy to install and maintain.

Resumo em Língua Estrangeira: Even with frequent market fluctuations, the milk production chain is an important generator of revenue and jobs in agribusiness. The Northwest of the state of Rio Grande do Sul is an important hub for dairy farming at state and national level. The intensification of production caused new structural and management arrangements to emerge and gain space, with milk production in confined systems being a reality for those seeking to improve technology and increase productivity. Animal feeding is responsible for the most significant production costs in dairy cattle farming, with the protein portion representing the highest values in the composition of the herds' diet. Soybean meal is the protein food most used in dairy cow diets, a fact that is directly linked to its supply on the market and the protein content of this component. Pre-dried alfalfa silage is a viable alternative for feeding livestock, as it is a forage legume with a high protein content used worldwide in animal feed. Searching for alternatives that can reduce costs without affecting productivity must be a constant in order to guarantee satisfactory results and ensure that producers remain in the activity. In this sense, the present work aims to evaluate the feasibility of using pre-dried alfalfa silage to feed dairy cows in an intensive production system.
