O processo seletivo dos cursos técnicos integrados ao ensino médio do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Farroupilha – Campus Alegrete : inclusão ou exclusão? desafios na EPT

Abstract

The present research was developed with the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education, area of concentration Professional and Technological Education, research line Organization and Memories of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional Education, Macroproject 6 – Organization of Pedagogical Spaces in Professional and Technological Education and aims to analyze the Selection Process of the Integrated Technical Courses of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Farroupilha – Campus Alegrete, the conditions of access and bureaucratization involved in the stages of the selection process and whether these may be contributing to the exclusion of students, which characterizes the research problem. The data analyzed were collected from candidates enrolled in the 2024 Selection Process and civil servants who make up the institution's permanent selection process committees. After collecting and analyzing the data, we came to the conclusion that the stages of the current mold of the Selection Process for Technical Courses Integrated to High School at Campus Alegrete, may be contributing to the exclusion of students and hindering their access to the vacancies offered. Several difficulties were pointed out, such as: the bureaucratization of the selection process, the issues of dissemination, and offer of courses, the large volume of information contained in the notices that govern the process, the difficulty of candidates in making their registrations (registration system), the choice of their vacancy reservation, the monitoring of the stages (schedule) and the challenge of carrying out the selection test. We raise the question regarding the draw as an option for the form of selection, based on the initial idea, defended by SETC/MEC, at the time of the creation of the Institutes, it can be seen that the idea of the lottery as a form of selection was positively evaluated by the research participants, for the technical courses integrated with high school. The educational product developed, entitled Registration Guide and Monitoring of the Stages of the Selection Process of the Integrated Technical Courses of the Alegrete Campus, was applied to first-year students of the three technical courses integrated to the high school of the Campus and evaluated very positively.
