NAC portal: plataforma digital para expressão e interação artística na comunidade acadêmica

Abstract

The present Course Completion Project proposes the development of a web system aimed at the Núcleo de Arte e Cultura (NAC) of the Instituto Federal Farroupilha (IFFar), Campus Uruguaiana. The initiative arose from observing the cultural activities carried out at the institution and from the need for a digital environment capable of centralizing, recording, and disseminating students’ artistic productions in an organized manner. Currently, these manifestations are shared in a dispersed way, which limits their visibility and hinders the engagement of the academic community. Thus, the main objective of the system is to provide a platform that allows users to publish works in image, audio, and video formats, interact with one another through likes, view profiles, follow news related to cultural events, and rely on a moderation environment responsible for verifying and removing inappropriate content. For the development of the project, bibliographical research, analysis of similar systems, and requirements gathering were conducted, which made it possible to structure the functional aspects of the solution. Subsequently, the system modeling process was carried out through use cases, an entity–relationship diagram, and the definition of the overall architecture. The system was implemented using HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript (JS), and Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), along with My Structured Query Language (MySQL) for data management. This work describes the process from theoretical foundation to the development of the main interfaces and functionalities, demonstrating the knowledge acquired throughout the technical course in Informatics. It is expected that the NAC Portal will contribute to the appreciation of students’ artistic production, facilitate access to cultural activities, and encourage the participation of the academic community in the initiatives promoted by the NAC.
